LEGO Robotics Explore Camp - Sponsored by Coeur Alaska Kensington Mine
Campers use the LEGO Spike Essential motors, sensors, and programming to bring their LEGO creations to life! This is the robot used in FIRST LEGO League Explore.
Students entering grades 1-4 (grades vary by week)

Note for Students Entering 4th Grade: 4th graders may choose to register for either the Challenge or Explore camp. Challenge Camp requires more independent work and reading, so for students who are not quite confident readers yet, we recommend attending Explore Camp.

LEGO Robotics Challenge Camp - Sponsored by Sealaska
Campers will build and program the LEGO Spike Prime robots to complete challenges and end the week with a fun Sumo Bot tournament. This is the new robot being used for FIRST LEGO League Challenge.
Student entering grades 4-8.

FIRST LEGO League Tips/Introduction to Python - Sponsored by Bauer/Clifton Interiors
This is an advanced camp for students who have competed in FIRST LEGO League Challenge for at least one year or who have attended LEGO Robotics Challenge Camp. Campers will creatively apply programming and building strategies to complete FIRST LEGO League missions and compete in a challenging mini tournament, as well as undertake some basic programming in Python.

Girls Rock Robotics Camp
Description- This exciting girl only camp will design, build, and code Spike Prime robots and spend a fun week exploring the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Gruening Park Camp - Sponsored by First Bank
Campers going into grades 2-8 will build and code the new LEGO Spike robots, conquer puzzles, battle ogres, and become Master Builders as they energize their STEAM skills. This free camp is available exclusively to residents of the Gruening Park area affordable housing community.
- Students entering grades 2-8.
- Monday-Friday, 10AM-4PM, located at Gruening Park Rec Center

3D Design and Print Camp
Bring your creative ideas to life with 3D design & print! Campers will use the free Tinkercad modeling software to build their design skills and learn advanced tips & tricks as they progress through 2 or more projects per day. Projects include 3D printable trinkets made from 2d images, articulated creatures, multi-part assemblies, storytelling with characters and props, and candy molds. All 3D design skill levels and experiences will be accommodated!
We will be running our 3D printers around the clock for campers to print two of their favorite designs to take home. Tinkercad is free, and campers will keep all their designs, so they can continue working on them long after camp is over and print them with any 3D printer found at school, libraries, makerspaces, or homes.

FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Camp
Teens will work with a small team to design, customize, build, and maneuver a robot using an REV Robotics kit, as well as code their bot to take on innovative challenges while utilizing your team’s creativity to score points and compete with the other teams.
